As per SEO point of view it is not good to use software for directory submissions and blog commenting. And if you are looking to hire a company you can PM me for that I have been working in SEO since last 2 years. You can check my sing also.

Use a real person not software, software always leaves a digital trail no matter what the seller will tell you

if you want SEO work done properly then you will have to pay good money

dont bother with all this crappy "il submit your site to 1 million directories" it just doesnt work like that, SEO is long term and an on going project that needs careful planning

I would recommend that you go for a reputed SEO and get your work done manually. Just search for 'SEO services' and see if you find rates of first 20 results acceptable.

It all depends. If you have the time, you can learn everything yourself. If you dont have time, hire someone.

Yes this is the best way whether you want to hire a person or not. First learn SEO yourself then start working on that. Benefit of this stuff is one body will make you fool in this awesome SEO field.

If the company has enough people get someone trained in SEO and SEM. Be willing to outsource some aspects like link building as well.

If you can find a good SEO person - based on recommendation ideally - I'd go for contracting out the SEO. Doing it yourself takes a load of time and can become an obsession.

Most of the automated software that is available is junk. Although you can learn SEO on your own, it you have a deadline, it would be advisible to find a good SEO company in your area to use.

Somehow SEO and Automation don't go very well together. Find good people, pay some extra bucks and you can have a lot better work.
