It should not matter. I have a .com and a .net and have not noticed any real differences in SEO. Some people have trouble remember the.net though....people are so used to typing in ".com"
.com is much preferred considering your site focuses on your business. But I don't think it matters if your choose .net .org or even .info. It's how you promote your site.

Yes you can say that visitor behavior is different for domain names but search engines treat both kind of domains in a same pattern whether its .com or .org. But normally visitors comfortable with .com domains.
