I've found articles on this from years past.. but currently.. does anyone know if .com receive a much higher boost in SERPS vs .org? Would you rather have.. www.dentistanaheim.org or www.dentist-in-anaheim.com ? thanks guys!
does`nt matter which you choose get your seo right and buildlinks both can rank as good as each other but i prefer .com to .org
I think .com or .org has no impact on your site, because it depends on your onpage and offpage optimization for website. If any of .com or .org has good impact on the website then everyone will go for that. So in my view, no difference. Difference is only created by your efforts.
2 hyphens is usually a sign of MFA or gateway site, used just to match a keyword...thus it can make it difficult for you to rank well in Google.
No...you can not get .com domains for free unless some hosting company has some kind offer instead their subscription While there are few places that give .info domains for free...also you can get .co.cc for free Hope it helps!
I prefer .org for ranking. I know .com and .org should be the same, but i have had more success with .org domains, prob just a coincidence tho
It's the .com which get the preference. But, if you are doing the SEO right, there'll be not much difference.
for search engines: .com = .org = .net .... (sometimes there are speculations about .info and google because many warez sites and spammers use .info, but it seems that .com = .info too).
as per SEO there is no difference. .com is always preferred over any other tld for marketing reasons; except some local ones.
I would rather have a .com but not for seo reasons, because its very unlikely that a .com would be preferred by a search engine.
The Big 3domain extensions are; .com, .net and .org Although there has recently been some discussion about possible moves to restrict the .org top domain to non-profits, as was originally intended, the current situation is that all 3 of these domain name extensions are accessible to anyone, without restrictions, and are widely recognized around the world. When a company uses the .org extension there can be some confusion for the visitor who understands extensions. The company might gain some business from those visitors who think they are helping a non-profit, but also, anger from a few that think they are being deceived. On the whole I think most visitors don't understand domain extensions.
Doesn't matter, Matt Cutts talked about this in one of his videos. Google treats all domains the same whether it's .com, org, biz, or even edu or gov.
just my opinion, I get best rank on Google for blogspot.com blog.. Also I've best position on .org site.. for my .com site, I never got best position on google, it has huge competitor. I think it follow the site content quality. Google will know the site that's relevant and give information to the visitor.
