Which method do you think it's best for me to drag legit users to my site. My bugget is $500.00. Would you rather pay a company to do SEO or sign up for Ad Words with google????

    Thanks for your advice...

It can depend on a few things, mostly what kind of site you're promoting. Personally, I'd never pay a company for SEO because it's easy to do it yourself; I'd much rather invest that money in PPC, but it can have a brutal learning curve, so make sure you educate yourself before jumping in.

If you want instant traffic then go if adwords. SEO takes time and there are no guarantee but if done right it can pay off more in the long term.

Your budget is $500 dollars and you want to bring in legit traffic to your site. Well the first thing I would do is try to build traffic for free, and see how well it converts. What's the point in spending any money if it's not going to convert? You seem to have a consumer mindset as if spending a lot of money is going to make you a lot of money and I hate to break it to you but that's usually not the case.

Additionally, you brought up that you were willing to pay someone to do SEO for you, but do you know how much competition is in your keyword? Because even the best SEO companies are going to need a few months to rank some keywords, and if it's going to take a while do you think that you have enough money for that?

As I said before, you should definitely try and get your feet wet with some free traffic to see how ell your website converts.

SEO is always changing so paying someone to set something up for you one-time will not last very long. Learn about SEO on your own and spend your money wisely on adwords if you think your webpage will convert well enough to cover the costs of adwords.

If you need fast result and have no time - You should go for Adword or other PPC companies.

If your result can be waited and you have time - You should buy some book, or participare in some SEO seminar.

However, I would recommend you go and got yourself learned via webmaster forums such as here or some paid ones such as SEOMOZ Premium member. $500 budget cannot get you far in PPC regardless to the industry your site is.

All the information you need to learn SEO is in the Internet. Learn it yourself and just keep your $500. There is no guarantee getting other people to do SEO for you. I know as I have had gone down that road before. I hired an SEO "expert" and only had my time and money wasted.

To say the fact this is a difficult situation. If you want to look at the good and bad side of both marketing method. SEO takes time, let' say 6 months it could be less and longer depending on the keyword competition but when you finally get to the top you are sure of not paying for targeted traffic again.

Adword only takes 5 minute to start driving traffic to your site. However, it requires some skills otherwise you could lose all your money with nothing to show for it.

The ball is in your court.

As for me if you don't have the skills go for SEO.

Listen to what others have to say before you take any action.

    Best Wishes,

SEO is better if only the SEO company are doing great job, else better go to adwords.
Suggest try both for one or two months, then only choose the better for future

Thatz right, well said. First try for adwords for a couple of months and then go for the SEO company and compare them both. In the course of time, you too keep learning about the SEO. So later you could start it your own and will not require the SEO company.
