Hey all, I am new to the SEO so i am going to tell you what i have been doing and you can let me know what i should add or delete. Thanks in advance for your help. I created a site and did on page SEO (<H1> tags, title..all that good stuff) I have links linking out to authority sites to my niche such as Wikipedia and Google New. I have a sitemap and articles on my first page and as other pages to my site. Linkbuilding: This is what gets me. as of now i am submitting articles to EZA and some others, submitting to social bookmarking sites, submitting to web directories (all these on both Do Follow and Do not Follow to avoid google thinking i am spamming) I use both main keywords and LSI keywords as anchor text...again to make Google think i am not spamming. How often is to often to submit to all the things listed above. If i do 1 article, 1 bookmark, 1 web directory, one blog post a day...is that cool or should i be doing more/less? Thanks! Ryan
If your website is brand new, build your links slowly. For older/established websites, you can ramp up your link building efforts. 1 of each should be fine for a new website. Keep doing what you're doing, and don't put all your eggs in one basket. The more diverse your backlinks, the better. Also keep in mind, that submitting the same article to multiple directories may not really be helpful because Google will mostlikely only index the one that it thinks is the original.
My site is new so i know to build slow but how slow. Can i do 1 link in each catagory (social bookmarking site, article site, web diretory) per day. So if i have 15 things i submit to, can i do 1 link to 15 sites a day? By diversify, do you mean submit to EZA one day and then the next day submit to another article directory?
You shouldn't be linking out to authority sites for SEO purposes you should be doing it to provide value to your readers.
