SEO on inner pages?

Okay - I just noticed that lets say you search for a specific term lets say betting - the majority of the results are only the main domain/home page or in some instance domin followed by sub-directory folder.

    You never see results like:

    company1.com - about betting
    company1.com/usuhsh.html - about betting
    company2.com/igiewduhuo.html - about betting
    .. - about betting
    ..
    .

So all though the inner pages are about the same top they do not appear in the results - does this suggest that there is no need to get back links to inner pages and go flat out on the seo because those pages do not seem to appear in the search results.

    Thanks

If your inner pages doesn't have any back links, it will never show in SERPs.
Try searching for different keywords and phrases and you'll see many inner pages included in the SERPs.
