Hi I have been in confusion about SEO on .blogspot domain. I do have some blog sites done on blogger site but I am not sure if I can take up SEO for them and get them ranked on first page of Google? Every one says to go for website, however first I would like to test things and instead my own domain can I make it through .blogspot site and test SEO works? Simply can take up SEO campaign for mysite.blogspot.com for keywords I wish and get it ranked on No.1 spot? Experts advices is appreciated.
I have many blogs on blogspot.com and few of them getting more than 1000+ visitors per day. if you do it properly, then SEO can be done on any sites. Just follow other similar blogs/site and copy their strategy- how have they optimized it.

Blogspot domains are always SEO friendly. You no need to work more harder with that. Only use good quality contents thats enough.
seo with blogspot blogs are the same as wordpress. i do not have any problems with them. just give it little time and you will see your positions increasing.

Tanks for all your comments. So basically blogspot domains are SE friendly. On our parts, we should just keep adding good unique contents or blog posts on daily basis on them and take up back links as we do for normal domain right? I will anyway test and shall post my experience here.
Given that blogspot is part of google I would think that if anything blogspot blogs would have an advantage over other blogging options. I have hear that "google likes google" I think that is good advice. But as other posters have said you need to create the back links like you would for any other domain.
blog spot domain is seo friendly i have 4 blog in my blogspot account but problem is that you cannot sale your blog.
Its always better to use your own domain. My question is why not? Its pretty easy and cheap to set up a domain!
Blogspot domain is SEO friendly. For ranking well in search engine result you have to work depending on the competition of your niche. If you have low competition keyword then you will need little work. And if you have high competition keyword then you have to do hard work for getting the maximum benefit from your blog.

Well I do certainly agree that my own domain is always the better option, but due to a real time money issue just to get started with my.blogspot domain so that I can just start of the campaign and make a bit and then go for own domain. I am of the same opinion. While ranking a .blogspot for long-tail keyword may not be that hard, I'm assuming ( assuming because I prefer wordpress over .blogspot) that it gets harder for keyphrases with more competition.
Blogger and Wordpress are designed to be user and search engine friendly, on top of that they both are free to set up and use However, its always recommended to use your own domain name to be on the safer side and it will make your blog looks more professional and will give you more genuine and returning users.
better buy own domain there are lot of stories where people invested to much efforts into blogspot/worpress blog and one suddenly was banned and lost everything
