SEO now more rely on content or backlinks ?

In my opinion, content is the main thing. The content should be unique, informative and error free. IF you have unique and informative content on your website, you are sure to get some backlinks....hence rather than going aggressively for the backlinks, first make sure that your content is up to the mark.

 

Pay some top class writer $50 per article for your site, but don't build any backlinks... And if you rank, shoot me in the head

You should have unique content on your site, SEs love it. But there is no point in spending too much on content just because readers will love it. Sure, you should take care of your readership as well but I'd care less than off site SEO.

 

Contents are definitely important now after the Panda update.. but at the same time to improve SERP, backlinks are equally important from authoritative sites.. so i guess it is a combination of both..

 

It seems to have promoted content, not backlinks. Some of the backlink-farms were the most hard-hit by Panda.

 

Don't waste your $$$ on the wrong kind of backlinks - They won't work.

After Panda Update i Thing Google Prefers Content First.. There is No Doubt that backlinks are still major factor of increasing the rankings..
