    So i have a list of about 20 keywords that i want to rank for on my site. I know yeah focus on about 2-3 but i see that in the meta tags for my site i can have like 20 keywords. SO

    Is it good to have 20 keywords in your meta tag?

    Should you put the most important keywords in the front of the tag?

    Also should you mix up the order of keywords for the different pages on your site or can it be the same list of keywords in all the pages meta tag?

    my advice: you have 20 keywords, optimize each page differently. try to find which keyword fits what page. so you can put 3 keywords on each page. that will give you best results.

    all the best.

    The meta keyword is irrelevant - focus on quality content on your homepage - and then do the same thing on the other pages.

    All you need is a good site title/meta description

    The answer to your question is very simple. Don't use Meta Keywords Tags. They are completely useless and have no ranking value what so ever. Search engines don't even pay attention to them anymore.

    Often times I see people asking this question "where should I put meta keywords" and so on. The fact is that meta keywords doesn't help your SEO at all. In fact, it is completely useless. Yes it is true that minor search engines do use this as a ranking factor, but these minor search engines represent about 6% of all world wide searches. The major search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo (who represent 94% of all world wide searches) don't use the meta keywords tag as a ranking factor, they completely ignore it.

    In the past (about 10 years ago), Meta Keywords Tag was the main way to rank web pages. You would put what keyword you wanted to appear for in the Meta Keyword Tag, and you would appear in SERPs for those keywords. Now what happened is that people would spam the tag so much that the SERPs wouldn't even be relevant to the queries. It became like a race to who would repeat the same keyword more times (meaning if I wrote the keyword 100x and my competitor wrote it 101x, he would appear higher ranked than me). Eventually, this spamming technique got the attention of search engine's web spam teams and they completely abolished the Meta Keywords Tag for search engine rankings.

    Conclusion is, you do not need to include meta keywords in your web pages. I personally don't include them in any SEO campaign I encounter. Actually you could even look at all the big seo firms and companies and you'll notice that in the source code, they do not include the Meta Keywords Tag (seomoz.org; webceo.com; submitedge.com; etc...).

    yoursite.com/Travel-France <= SEO for travel France
    yoursite.com/travel-vietnam <=SEO for travel vietnam

    Google and other SE don't even bother to read the meta keyword tags anymore so you can stuff them with keywords for all they care. What they do take a look at is the title and description tag and the content of your page. Keep a natural amount of keywords in these places.
