I'm using squidoo's index-friendly ability to write articles advertising various products. I'll take the general topic of the product, find several related keywords, and create multiple articles plugging that one product and stressing that one keyword. Nothing new, I know! My question: Would it be better (from a SEO Point of view) to create new lenses for each related article, or should I take the other route by having all related articles on the same lense? Any ideas?
Hm, I'm actually torn between the 2 choices honestly. If every individual article is targeting keywords, then perhaps you can create a new lens for that article around a certain keyword. I'm thinking if you have a lens for each keyword, you can expand your reach on the search engines, as it were. On the other hand, perhaps it's better to have all related articles in the same lens so visitors have access to more content at a time? And perhaps this can get a single lens ranked for most of the keywords you're targeting. Just my opinion.
That's exactly what a was thinking, only expressed much better. Thanks Other takes on this are welcome!
Different articles and different lenses. Use linking in the lenses to get your main website ranking well. Squidoo traffic is a bonus.
Have to agree with the answers you got above. It's the same reason people make multiple Google adsense sites.
Seems like everyone has the same view on this one. I was leaning towards the same, one lense per article- just needed to get some second opinions. Cheers, Jake
