    Hi

1st post - here we go - straight and to the point!

Our web site has been lying 'dormant' for the past year absolutly no marketing whatsoever.

over the past 3 months Ive filled my brain to saturation point reading, joining forums etc but have taken no action whatsoever on what ive learnt ... the reason, (Im not afraid to say), is that I'm scared. All this information has paralysed me. Too many contradictions.

So all you SEO's & Marketing 'Gurus'
( sorry my personal swipe, as I'm f**ked off and had enough with 'gurus' with one objective - take your money and run- hell I nearly joined stompernet in desperation (Nothing wrong with the stomper, but with all that info, £400 a pop a month and just one coaching session a month, it would be toooo much info to digest I'm sure that it would be the end of me!(They nearly had me convinced until i found this forum!!))

What I require is a person who can work with me on building my business.

Someone who can dedicate at least one telephone conversation a week

    Set out clear defined goals

Some one with a valid 'track' record (I'm not looking for ''i've been doing it for 20 years'' more ' i've worked with client x on this project, these were the objectives and these were the outcomes'' ''here's the proof''

Of course you're thinking this guy wants all this for FREE.. well yes free would be good .. I want some one who can mentor my partner and I set us a starting point, structure our working week more effectively... and more importantly GROW our business.

Ps. we are willing to pay! CV's this way please!

    PPs Performance based pay??

Mods, if this is in the wrong section please re-section. thanks

If you first say that you want it for free and after that telling that you also want to pay for it, then you won't be taken serious. SEO is expensive, and if you are serious "google" a respected company and ask them and not here. Because you will find many newbies here. And many newbies also think that they can do seo very well, then before you know you got spanked by someone who don't know how to do it well.

Conclusion: Professionals won't take you serious and newbies will spank your website with.. I don't want to know what for advice.

Ok, 1st Im in the wrong serction (sorry), 2nd are you telling me that no one is suitably qualified unless I pay big bucks (to be taken serious)? sorry it sounds the same to me.

What I need is a competent Mentor that is willing to give me some of their time and literally point me in the right direction ( I know all the info is here , as it is on thousands of other forums) and give me a starting point and make me accountable!

As I stated earlier its easy to trawl through forums read ebooks etc etc BIG MISTAKE (in my opinion) if you are a newbie! You need to start with a well crafted plan (this is what I basically Need) then as you go along you learn techniques by implementing them. Or have I got it all wrong?
