Guys here is a tip that will blow your mind! Until now the penguin update was pulling down websites that were making unnatural anchor-text. What i mean by this, is that if your website name is bestiphone5.com, and you make more than 20% of the back-links to your site, with bestiphone5 (the clickable text part of the link) your rankings would drop in google. But a way is working right now, is that you must create back-links with the keyword "bestiphone5", but instead create a long back-link anchor text like e.g. "did you know the bestiphone5 is cheaper". You include you main keyword within a phrase. You can spam all you want with this technique and you will be penalized by that. Guys i know you are skeptical but believe me. In seo now you should have to do social sharing, Submit blog with high PR sites and main thing make Info-graphic and video and share on high PR sites.

I don't like to differentiate seo into old and latest seo methods.. I agree that Google has been changing its algorithm and ranking methods but it doesn't mean that all the previous seo methods had gone and we have to follow a new method. If you are able to get natural link from a few sites only means don't worry about that because quality of backlinks is more important than Quantity. Don't worry about the Page Rank. Its just a Rank only and it won't decide your websites whole power. Some body get backlinks from unwanted sites only for increasing PR. Actually i hate this activity because if we do that obviously we could increase our PR but we would lose our Sites Search Engine ranking. If you develop content within your site and make use of internal linking it helps a lot and the ranking won't get penalized.
Now a days social media is very effective and also Guest post, blogging you content is unique so your website is increasing in Search engine.
guest posting related nich - agree. but this worked always. I think main point now - traffic on the donor, everything other - not so important.
All I can say is, Optimize website for selected keywords, put some content on it, build some comment links to diversify anchor text and then build high pr links to your site, easy ranking =) when you rank then you can build out your website, so visitors can easily navigate your site and know what to do

Hi Sameer, It is best to first create a few more different links (comment, web2.0) dont really matter.. And diversify your anchor text more.. after that you blast a couple high pr links to your site with anchor text = keyword , or mention the keyword in your anchor text.. when you get more traffic i suggest you change your lp design, make it more clear on what you can find where, you got too much going on your site.. So you can improve rankings + conversions =D
When it comes to traffic then only targeted traffic converts and targeted traffic can be gained from search engine so you have to optimize your site's keywords to get targeted visitors.
