SEO Landing Pages? domain.com OR domain.com/blog? Help

    I have a website.

It receives LOADS of typo traffic. People are looking for domain.com.br, but accidentally miss off the .br and end up at my site. That means I get thousands of visitors.

Because of this my main index at domain.com has a PR5...!

All these visitors dont find what they want and therefore leave.

I have thus set up a landing page with ads on, so domain.com has ads on, and I earn revenue from these visitors. Then if they are actually looking for my site, they click an 'Enter' image, and it redirects them to my site at domain.com/blog.

Now I have my blog at domain.com/blog some tools at domain.com/tools etc

    My questions are as follows:
    a) Does having a landing page in anyway effect SEO?
    b) What is the best way to SEO/sell my site? The biggest drawing factor to the site are the tools, so should I go around advertise, getting links etc to domain.com/tools and simply hope people read my blog too, OR should I link to domain.com. For example I added the site to stumbleupon, delicious etc. I put domain.com as the domain, but then 'This site provides tools blah blah' as my description to draw people in...

    Thanks

    That sounds great.
A good landing page is always the key factor for your online business. This page will convert your visitors to your customers.
Advertise your site using PPC services, this will attract more visitors and increase your ROI instantly.
You have not mentioned your site above,i would suggest you to optimize your site for SEO.All you need is to fine tune all these methods to get your things done in much effective way.You can hire an SEO expert who can help you do the things above in an effective way and yet affordable manner.
