SEO Juice loss - 301 redirect vs CNAME change.

    My question is: If I chose to simply to a CNAME change so that my new website is visible, will I lose any SEO juice from my old website?

    I don't want to have to continue paying for hosting simply to maintain a 301 redirect unless I really have to.

    Any ideas?
