SEO is dead

Just finished reading a report by Justin Harrison about SEO is dead.

My first impressions when I read the name of the report was that we are once again having some idiot writing about SEO and have no idea what it is. After reading the report I must say he put my mind straight about a few things.

It is clearly a report that is expected to shake a few feathers and has made waves in the SEO community already. Any of you read it and opinions to share about it?

I think SEO would only be dead when Google is dead.

SEO is like Lazarus on a yoyo.
According to somone it's died every week for the last 10 years.
    But it bounces back everytime.

Just a wannabe sensationalizing his content. SEO will never die as long as there are search engines

It doesn't die, it just evolves.

I think, SEO is never dead whenever google is live. but i feel that a huge content sites are drive traffic from search engines just a few efforts, like on page optimization and get huge traffic. they do not aggressively involved in off page optimization. Am i right or wrong???

i have no read the report, but i think we has wasted many time for seo, like submiting social bookmark, and more. I think seo is simple things to doing continously

    Dead? LOL

However, Shoemoney and John Chow are both living proof that SEO is not the end all - be all. You can have a successful business with no search engine traffic. However, John Chow after just now getting back into Google said that his traffic has went up. So is it dead? No. But I agree with Shoemoney that it is not a requirement for a successful business.

Yeah, SEO does not die, it only changes and we have to figure out new ways to make use of and adapt to it

Hah John chow is almost page one for the keyword make money online. I doubt he dislikes google.

What would the internet be without the ability to search...

Search engines will only die the day people can find what they want just by thinking it... lol.
