    Is SEO bullshit ?????

Thats some of the guys in the industry say as under:

    - In SEO there is only spaming of keywords and fooling the search engines by placing links all over
    - Some say its bullshit there is nothing interesting just submitting to directories, blogs, social network and hiring link brokers etc,,,,,,,,,,,
    - There is nothing to learn its just one type of bulk marketing and promotion to get backlinks and ranks
    - NO value of SEO's or reputation
    - Some say the SEO industry is SNAKE OIL and so on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    MY VIEWPOINT:
SEO is not bullshit as its a art where only SMART SEO's can deal with and not the spammer SEO's. SEO is the toughest when there is competition from all sides and i admit its one of the challenging profession.
SEO is best becz every site is challenging and without errors or challenge there is no fun.
SEO's is a money saver for BUSINESS and so i thinks it really crucial until we find the real output that we get in the long term - Traffic!!

    Why SEO is so different?
In Programming programmers just build a programme and then there job is finished, same is for DESIGNERS one time work and then its over.
But here SEO's life is not so easy becz u don't know when u gona get a call from ur Client and say "Hey man wat the hell my site just dropped to 3rd page and i m losing my credit card business which was on 1st page" so see the difference its a bigg loss and then SEO's need to come again and optimize it to beat the competition again so its really tough one,,,,,,,,,,,

There is no sleeping for SEO's but we love the INDUSTRY;)
SMART seo's and quality work will really be appreciated in the INDUSTRY

I think they people that say SEO is BS are the ones that have tried to rank their site in the past and have failed.

I also agree to some extent. Sometimes the different between keyword rich and keyword spamming very vague.

As long as there's inexperienced developers/designers, there will be a market for SEO.

I think a lot of people get the terms "Search Engine Optimization" and "Search Engine Marketing" mixed up or consider them synonymous when they're not. An optimizer tends to be cleaning up after an inexperienced developer/designer, whereas a marketer tends to deal directly with the content and PR.

What you are saying here is to certain extent correct. seo sometimes can be manipulated to fool the search engines and at the same time tricky as well. For me, it can be very frustrating.

SEO is not a bullshit... You can say it as a method to describe about your webpages to search engine spiders by using proper title and description. This helps search engines to know about the content of your webpage. Link building and other internet marketing techniques used in SEO are a method to tell the surfers around the world about your website.
