Yeah webgator, it is pretty insane that sometimes from just having a really solid backlink infrastructure.

You can mention a keyphrase in one of your blogs, or on your page, then you are ranking well for it all of a sudden.

Thats when real results really start paying off, and you know you have a great site going on.

i think its about getting ranked in lots of keywords. No one keyword will bring you 1000s of visitors unless its 1-word keyword or perhaps 2-word...

I believe programs that are meant to help you optimize do nothing to help really. All SEO programs are just there and don't really help too much.

SEO is on life support, because, i stopped optimizing for "keywords" in my content. I mean it has to be natural. You don't want to be at war with google:

You are trying to optimize for a keyword, while google is trying to optimize for the people in your site. If you try to optimize for keywords you are just messing google up. Google is designing itself to be like a human and to categorize and rank things that are quality, not optimized-fake-quality.

I like to just write it for humans, and I get ranked good.
For example my recent tutorial JavaScript Advanced Classes got ranked in SERPs for something like prototype JS , #2-4 or something, in JUST 4 DAYS!! (released on 28th Jan, ranked on the 1st Feb)

Well done Execute, Obviously you are happy about those results :)

It just goes to show that creating extremely quality content will make people link to you naturally. Because they are generally interested in your content.

And google will show you respect for it :)

yes thank you. But i'm still a little dissatisfied learning that even with all the good ranking and content, i'm not getting 5000 visitors a day or anything. Even more dissatisfied at how low amount of money Adsense makes... every 100 clicks i made about 29$. That's very low compared to how much time it takes to get 100 clicks.

Well, true it can be a bit discerning when things dont go the way you would have hoped to or liked to (trust me had plenty of those moments).

Not sure how much content you have but with quality content you will certainly start developing a hungry community.

Just find out what you had to do to earn $29 and do it ten more times.

    Repeat the proces.

If it is something you like doing then it is much easier to do. With a good content driven site (especially on programming) you will get the traffic you desire soon enough.

Keep in the game, its tough as you probably know. But it is those that persevere that come out on top and ritches are not made over night :)

I am not too sure exactly what your financial position is with your online sites, but outsourcing is a wonderfull thing.

You can get some extremely well written articles done for approx $10, that will be between 700 and 800 words and be off good quality.

You could even pay between $20 and $40 for even higher quality.

    Try www.elance.com or www.rentacoder.com

I lean towards rentacoder for programming needs.

What are your favorite programs/methods for measuring click through? I use Adwords and jsut digest the info there.

How about the other way around. What are your favorite programs/methods for measuring clicks on ads going off your site.

Too many webmasters are wasting time, especially the ones who miss out on increasing the conversion rates of existing visitors while doing seo.

and how do you do that? sure you can make some small incentives to force people to click on your ads, but that's not that great an idea. Maybe you can say oh you must register to view this or that, but i think that would drive people away. please clarify.

You should just try things out, manouver the sign-up button, anything. Make it bigger, place it elsewhere and see how the behaviour of the visitors changes. Every site is different.
