SEO & including Keywords In Domain

I have been working on one of my websites, and found that some specific Pages have been lately performing really well due to the usage of High Traffic keywords with low competition.

These pages are selling a wide variety of digital products. Let's say, one of the well performing pages is selling an "Engine Tuning eBook".
Now I am thinking of purchasing domain "enginetuning.com" to help me even more with ranking for this specific keyword.

    What would be better:
    1) If I redirect enginetuning.com to the relevant page on my original website?
    2) Create unique content and offer my product on enginetuning.com !! And 2 way linking between both websites to have 2 quality relevant links

I am very experienced with SEO, but I have never experimented with that, and would appreciate help :)

I'd go with Number 2 but with mostly just one way links to your main site. I think creating the second site like super affiliate. Nothing wrong with having a second site rank well in Google!

So do you guys advise me to buy domains that include my keywords? I just want to make sure you people are with me since this will involve buying 20 .com domains.... Don't want it to be a waste :)

Would appreciate a reply from someone that has tried that

I buy domains with keywords in and just create more content. Its just a pity in my industry all the good ones have gone. You can use it for backlinks if nothing else. Domains are cheap as chips and you can claim expenses so very little downside.

You could buy 20 .com domains and populate with unique content as you suggest but it's a lot of work. You might consider 20 blog posts with good titles and good post contents as a source of links for your product pages.

Domains are cheap as chips eh?? I would give that a second thought since a domain would cost nearly 10 bucks a year.. 20 domains would cost 200 bucks.. 200 bucks is not a lot, but its not v cheap :) is it?

Well, the main purpose of buying these domains are not only to obtain backlinks. I was just thinking of having each domain include its own sales page... Will this help me drive more sales?? I will have each domain with its own unique Design matching with the item being sold and with relevant content to that item (Of course, it wont hurt to have some 3 way linking between those domains)

PS: I know 200 bucks is not a lot... But I've got a tight budget, and want to put the overheads where they belong

£200 is $4 a week in a year. If you get one hit out of all of those it will pay for the others. Thats exactly what I do and it works for me.
