no offense ferret but you have obviously no clue on the violations that have been a part of the reason for their long term stay at #1. And since it was based on violating Google's openly stated rules and also scammed webmasters world wide into giving them good links for getting worthless ones, I am happy they have lost the position they didn't deserve. They hired a different company to do the dirty work for them but still - they are an seo company and knew EXACTLY what they were doing ... WRONG!
Yup, most SEOs know about the dirty little tricks seonc used to get to the top... just do a litle research and you wil see...
Being number #1 means that they figured out how to get the most links with term "search engine optimization" in the text. Thats all that really means. Isn't it? buying links is a dirty little trick? Holy hypocrites
Nope... You can do things the right way, and you can do things the wrong way... Do them the wrong way, and then this happens.
Ferret just like SearchKing.com was on top and then got banned, the same way the algorithm detected and uncovered wrong doings within seoinc's strategies. I am not happy about seeing anyone go down but i know some of the seoinc guys as well as the searchkings. Very similar attitudes such as "Those rules do not apply to us, we are the best!"
True what you say feret, there is no sacred ground online. Whether my mom's website is in breach of tos is not really the point...what is tolerated is
Usually when high profile people get removed its manual, that means the algorithm didn't know. not really I doing ok today, nothing like last month though I just think it hypocritcal to look at site getting manually penalized, and say they deserved it, then turn around and do the same things they do.
I think there is a lot of sacred ground though. If you have good sites linking to you, it indicates popularity.
hehe ... the just the downpayment of 40k should be fine so noone else gets THAT car. Some customizing I wouldn't mind either
Well... What do u do as an SEO company if google decides one day to ban you ? Is there a way to get back on google with the same rankings and the same domain ? Or will it be a final goodbye to google for that domain.
This is very weird, if you type the URL at google you get "Sorry, no information is available for the URL www.seoinc.com", but a site: command still shows a few of their pages, and their home page shows PR7
IMO, a great portion of SEO, especially in the last three months, is knowledge of how to avoid filters and remain standing when everyone else is falling. If you get banned then what guarantee is there that you will not end up getting your clients banned also? As for getting back previous rankings, I've yet to see this happen for an seo site.
Does anyone have any hints or ideas at what exactly could have caused this? I remember I was talking in their forum and their was a type of childish argument going back and forth about someone knowing who they are and what they did.... It sounded to me like they suspected that their was someone behind their problems and the were persuing legal steps against them... This type of thing is terrible for their company, but it's out of everyones control... If they did something wrong, and/or frowned upon by Google, than I guess they would be getting what they deserve, because being such a huge seo firm, they should know better than most others what to do and not do. But if this has happened to them with the possibilities of some type of sabatoge, I would think that Google would put them back in the index... It's really a terrible thing. The company is built on search. I can only imagine how depressing this whole thing is for them.... hope nothing like that ever happens to me... I guess this domain name will be pretty valuable to them now... http://www.seoincorporated.com
