Hey all. I'm looking for a good concise SEO tutorial. I know that volumes have been written on the subject but I'm looking for something that distills all of that into a top 10/20/30 list of things that are most important when developing a site. I already know a lot of them (e.g., make your site easy to crawl, have the most important keywords in your page titles, etc.) but need something to pass along to some of my developers. If you happen to know of any good tutorials that have been written or simply want to post some general SEO advice that I can use to create my own tutorial for them that would be great. Thanks!
seobook.com is a good place to start. and once you get caught up, stay up to date with sphinn.com and the topic has gotten rather complex so do not expect to grasp everything overnight. good luck dude
also try seomoz.com, but as you've said theres alot of these tutorials... and some of them might have different opinions... every seo have different technique and opinions... its up to which one you are going stick with..
I'd ignore anything any "expert" has to say on the subject, go with the basics you know, and see how ways you apply them to your own site affects your search traffic. That sounds like a bad idea, but you'll actually get better results that way.

Even though there are people out there who can tell you the strategies to use, you can never know which will actually work for you. The one rule that's consistent is you have to try to build ties to other internet users. How you do this is your problem and depends on your chosen market
