SEO ideas for my site

    Hi folks. This is my first time posting here (though I have lurked for many months).

    I wanted to find out if anyone would be willing to give me some ideas to increase my SEO for my website truepunk_com.

    I recently took over the site (about a year ago) and had to change it over from coldfusion to asp which caused nearly all my backlinks to disapear and placement within google to drop. It has been picking up but being in such a nich market (various types of music) I have been trying to beat out many other simular sites for placement.

    This site really should have better placement for the keywords relating to it as I have 1400 news items, 1900 user profiles, 200 interviews, 1500 reviews and around 400k posts mb posts.

    The amount of revenue make on this site is small, like $2.00 a day which seems like it should be much higher given the traffic (2k+ a day) and content that is available.

    Are there any tricks people can offer to increase my SEO or ad revenue? Is there any reliable service I should look into for paid SEO?

    the middle adsense block cover part of the grey text box
    on firefox part of video is off screen

    for SEO i think a H1 and maybe H2 tag
    you might have punk too many times in your keywords
    maybe less pictures and more content that contains your keywords

    Build backlinks with corect anchor texts
    Time is olso a factor
    And don't forget that maybe your niche is so competitive that it takes more time ...

    It does not only depends on the traffic of your site, be aware of your ad placement. :D

    There is no secret to building backlinks on content relevant static pages, blogs and article sites. Publish related content. But the most important things is backlinks with relevant content and anchor text.

    Yea that sites all messed up in firefox. That would be my number one concern. After that add placement and types of ads would be a factor. Adsense isn't always the answer.

    I think you need to use impressive and contrast color scheme.

    Music is something which cannot be confined to one set of colors. Moreover gray looks little dull :eek:

    try changing color scheme and try to optiize website for related keywords like if I am looking for "music band london", I might log onto google.co.uk and search for similar services.

    You need to see if there are a set of keywords which can bring quality traffic towards your website.

    I think you should optimize the pages! Make it user friendly and search engine friendly! Make the keywords relevant to your site. Last thing use CPC in promoting your site. . .
