SEO Help....

I am looking for a decent book on SEO... one that is up to date, and covers the whole spectrum from links to ethical and black hat (NOT that i would want to do this of course, its just that it would be good to have a broad knowledge of all aspects)

Not really up for people offering 'get rich quick' type ebook etc. I am really looking for a recomendation of a decent paper based book to be honest, but would consider an ebook as a last resort....

    Thanks !

    Mike
Ps. if there are a couple of books recommended thats fine, its just if i try to look in the search engines there are pages upon pages of silly results !

I don't think there is such a book. There are however separate e-books and such available for each of those things. Not to mention free info www.totaldmag.com/seo.html

Trial and error sometimes comes into play. Learning SEO is all about staying on top of the current trends. Several websites have posted seo tutorials to help get someone started then it is a matter of keeping up with changes by visiting webmaster forums.

Dave, how come you didn't include the link to my books... Argh I will slice you now! HAHAHA Yeah I must say, I have read Dave's SEO Hand Book. It has a lot of must know SEO info! I already knew 95% of the stuff mentioned but that book would have saved me a lot of wasted time.

Heck no... Aaron's book is probably the most popular publication.. it's a bit weighty at 350+ pages.. so I decided to create a series of handbooks... there was interest in the focus groups for smaller more ON-Topic Handbook style publications... so that's where I headed...

If Aaron DOES Black or White... is another matter for debate... He's certainly a WHatter - but let's just say say he is familiar with SEOs from all shades of the spectrum - ( Rand to Greywolf to DaveN )

It's a good book though.. no quams about it from me....

CHEERs on the Purchase... Hope it's worth the $10 - and yer welcome to harass me via email now and again if you'd like.
