Why not but better to buy a domain and host your WP site than using free WP.

Free WP bans easily especially when you start promoting it with links in the content.

It's easily doable, but in my opinion a waste of time simply because you don't own the site/domain so if they ever decide to ban you or remove your site all your hard work was a waste of time. As Kanonig said, it is much better to buy your own domain for as little as 0.99 and get cheap hosting and you're all set.

The big problem with using Web 2.0 sites as your money sites is that you don't own them. Yeah, you can do SEO on a Wordpress/Blogspot blog, but Blogspot can also decide to take your blog down for any reason they want and there's nothing that you can do about it. With your own .com (or .net or whatever), you own it and have complete control over it. Just buy one less 12-pack of beer this week and you've already made enough money to get one
