SEO help for this site please?

Hi, I've inherited an ongoing SEO campaign for http://www.icerasemi.com/ : and because its been going a while most of the obvious stuff has been covered (well, obvious to me, anyway). Can anyone suggest anything else within the site which I haven't done/spot anything I've done wrong? I'm thinking of on-page here rather than link building, which is a whole other ballgame since I don't really know anything about the industry concerned.

    Any help much appreciated, anyways.
    Thanks

yeah onpage seo is the first that should be done before going for link building.first do keyword research and find some good traffic keywords.then optimize it.then start building backlinks.

Is the sight a new one?
I suggest you to do first a Pre- SEO Site Analysis. You will do a physical check-up on your site, list all the diagnosis and the recommended solution for it.

The first thing that a web site should do is communicate the message of the site's focus to the site visitor. When this is done properly, the service or product or message is communicated using some if not all of the most important keywords relevant to the site, and thus to the SEO process.

The downfall however is that if this aspect is not well thought out in advance, the words chosen will be based on the site creator's understanding of that topic - rather than the understanding that person's market has. What your customers or clients use in words to describe what you offer is very often different than what you use. Technical or industry specific words are things we take for granted. Our clients or customers do not.

So if you create your web site properly with that in mind, you are taking care of the most important aspect of search engine optimization. The content. And the keyword phrases.

Having a thousand or five thousand links to your site is worthless if the people who come to the site don't get sold on what you are offering. Having only a few visitors find your site initially, but where those people really get your message because it was well communicated and used the keyword phrases that they have in their mind, will result in success and building long term success for sure.

But it begins with finding those proper keyword phrases. Put yourself in your site visitors shoes. Are the keyword phrases currently on the site really the best ones?

FLM - you have a lot of very good keywords already on the site. However I would suggest that you have not truly optimized the site - proper optimization involves matching the phrases in the title tag to the phrases in the meta description tag and to the content on the page, and the link labels and alt tags.

Trying to match a few dozen keywords across an entire page like that is highly inefficient and ultimately doomed to fail when going head to head with the major competitors in your industry.

It is much better to limit an individual page's keyword phrases to four to six phrases. Splitting those up into individual keywords separated by commas in the title tag and in the meta description dilutes their value.

So for example - is "wireless communication technology" really a vital phrase for your target market? Would Livanto Chipsets be a good combination? If so, then having the word Livanto by itself in the title or other meta fields can be a hindrance if you don't also have it in there again grouped with chipsets.

It's a long, slow and carefully thought out process.

And well worth the effort, having gotten many of my client sites onto the first page of Google in highly competitive fields that were already super-saturated with SEO enabled web sites when I came along.
