This is my first time creating a website (Anime niche) and I have no idea what to do with SEO. Please provide me with suggestions/tips on what I should do as I am clueless and would appreciate any help.
Do you have a domain name? Do you have loads of content? Do you have videos? What template design would you choose? What's the purpose of your site? Do you want sell some stuff or is it a social network? What keywords do you want? Answer all these questions to self and share answers with us - it would be much easier to help when informed well.
Write articles related to your site and submit to article directories with a link pointing to your site, submit to onlywire for bookmarkings to drive traffic to your site.
Do you have a domain name? OnePieceFan.net Do you have loads of content? No, I just created it yesterday and I am trying to gather information and finish setting up the he CMS before displaying the content. Do you have videos? None What template design would you choose? Currently I am ordering a custom WordPress CMS style. What's the purpose of your site? It's just like narutofan/narutocentral. Do you want sell some stuff or is it a social network? Possibly some anime related gears when the site becomes popular but nothing else. What keywords do you want? I have no idea what keywords I want but if you could check the site's meta keyword as I added some.
Much better now. Ok. First you should go live with your website. I mean with completely attracting design, 5-6 posts describing your idea as clear as possible, About Me page (optional), Terms Of Use, Privacy Policy, Contacts page - all of these pages should be helpful. Run some tests on your local server with friends or deny access to all IP except yours - use .htaccess for these purposes. Don't start until you 100% sure that your site works well and there're no design glitches or broken links. After that start making your website optimized - proper site title, site description and keywords. It is important to make them look properly as it would be a textual face of your website. Keywords is important part of your SEO strategy but I don't think anyone would do all that hard keyword analysis for you (for free, of course) - don't pay too much attention to them for the first time but read some articles about keywords analysis, it might be helpful. You will be always able to rewrite your articles Or hire someone to do that work for you. Then you can start submitting your website to web directories - usually approval takes from 2 weeks to 3 months, so it is better to start earlier than later. After optimization start submitting your site to all those multiple social bookmarking services (stumbleupon, digg, reddit, diigo, etc.) and don't forget to create a Twitter account for your site. Then keep adding content and submit your website to every place you find (don't play with bad websites - Google doesn't like it). Read about image optimization, anchor text, content layout, and get ready your hobby to become your job That is not full picture of a total SEO plan, but I hope it will give you some clues in finding and creating your own SEO strategy which will lead you to success. And be patient, my friend - you won't get results fast if you don't invest money in your site's promotion. Don't hesitate to ask and good luck! P.S. Your website's keywords suck
