Hey guys, I have a question regarding SEO optimization and creating pages. I was wondering about how the "search engine spiders" actually see your page. Ive heard google can see them in .html format and they dont even need to be published. Is this true? For example: I create a page and save it to my desktop as a .html format. We as people can not see it when searching, but ive heard google search spiders can see it. Is there anything else I need to do with it? Basically im trying to create smart pages. Thanks
Google wants content and pages that make sense for users to see. Don't create for the spiders, even if it works, it's only short term.
Thank you and I understand this. But I was asking how exactly do I do this? Is it submitted as a sitemap? Or do I just leave it alone on my desktop?
Google spider can only see sites that have been published online. If you site has never been created and only on html file or whatever and not online. There is not way Google bot is going to know. Hope this is cleared.
Google can only see your site when you have published it and your site is in the public domain. Having an HTML page on your desktop means that it is not in the public domain. If you want Google to search your page/site, it need to be available to the public as a website. You then need to submit it to Google, Yahoo and the other search engines so that they are aware that you have published your website. As you add pages to your website, they are not available to Google while they are on your own desktop. Unless you are hosting your own website. The question of SEO is another matter altogether.
Im not trying to be the devils advocate, but this is not what I heard. You can submit .html files in the index. It doesnt necessarily have to be published as a .com, .net, .org, etc.....This is jsut what I heard. Because the spiders will pick up anything thats submitted. Its just that .html files will not be seen by the public. But who cares because the .html files are only a way of promoting an actual site
Isnt it called like a sitemap or something?? I might be wording it wrong. a sitemap you can submit XML or .html formats right?
