Hey all. Have gaming / betting site in development and need some advice as to promotion. Ive been lurking in these forums for a couple of days and have also downloaded some SEo ebooks such as Callens on SEO. Im looking to do all the work myself and not afraid of learning/research. Id like anyone here with SEO knowledge to please donate some of that knowledge to me ( so if you have experience of promoting gaming/betting sites , or you know of any ideas of how to promote or you have suggestions as to sites/directories etc that I could utilise ) then please let me know. Any ideas no matter how small or extensive will be very welcomed. Thanks in advance.
well Iv got brad callens SEO ebook and have been working thru those to get the basics. ( so ive done keyword analysis , onpage optimization)
start a few blogs up at sites with a good alexa rank make some unique articles submit to directories social bookmarking & networking gaming forum's helpful comments in related blog posts stay away from black hat
what's your target KW? does it has a huge volume of searches? if yes, link build it using it as your anchor,. Traffic from SE is better than referring sites
Just keep on updating the site, use link building techniques and have your site accumulate traffic from search engines, especially when they topped the SERPs
Create additional pages with slightly different content, or images, colors, etc. to test against your existing page. Will you be doing any PPC or just organic sales page optimization?
links .... links.... links... links..... that is basically what google eats. Get as many people to link to you as possible, the higher the page rank of the inbound links... that easier for you to list in the serps.
Build out your site with as much unique content and additional pages as possible...and when you get signature enabled, you should contribute to this forum as much as possible with quality posts.
Was going to initially use PPC but when I looked into it google does not accept gaming sites unless you have a land based operation aswell so im guessing yahoo and the others have the same policy. I think the links aspect is the best way forwards. Ive researched some betting/gaming directories using google/yahoo but if anyone has a list of directories/sites etc that would allow me free links to my site then please PM me or post. Thanks
First start with OnPage : Do keyword research and find suitable keywords. Then start building backlinks with this keywords as anchor text.
