I need to migrate a website to a new domain. It already has a lot of link-backs and excellent search engine rank, so I need to make sure it is done correctly, so as not to lose my search engine rank etc. I believe what I need to do is a 301 redirect - I'm told this involves simply editing the htaccess file - however I've not done this before so just want someone to guide me through the process.

If you can help for free then great, if you charge then let me know your price

    Thanks for your time

    Adam

If your just moving the site to another server, you don't need to do anything.

If your changing folder names or the domain itself, then you would have to redirect.

If you do need a 301 redirect, let me know, as I can let you know how.
