    2 Appropriate and well set keywords
    3 Proper HTML tags
    4 Qualitative inbound links
    If all the above factors are placed properly in the web page the page will prove it’s importance and get good page rank by search engine.

    Varun - wow that is a loaded question.
    first a meta tag is part of what you put in your headers on each and every page like such.

    <head>
    <title>this site will teach you about meta tags</title>
    <keywords> meta tags learn meta tags </keywords>
    <discripition> learn all about meta tags here, we will teach you </discripition>
    </head>
    That is an example of a very basic meta tag - very basic as there is also the DOC TYPE and more you need to learn.

    PR - page rank - don't worry about it right now, contra to what you read it should not be your first concern.

    Keywords in google - create good quality content on your site and use some of the main keywords that are in your content in your meta tags. If it does not sound normal when you read it out loud, it probably is stuffed and needs rewrote.

    Varun, this can be learned but not all in 1 post, not all in 1 night or even in 1 week. If you study it each day for about 1 month, you will have a good grasp on starting. The learning part never ends.

    I would also suggest you go to google and find free courses about this, I am sure they are out there - Best Of Luck :)

    I have a quick question: Say I am optimizing for a certain page on my ecommerce site, rather than the actual homepage. Obviously I need to have the keyword phrase I am optimizing for, in the title / meta description, meta keywords, and body, etc..

    But what about the homepage? I have the keyword phrase in all of the right META areas on my homepage, but do I need to put it in the actual body/description as well? I haven't found a way to do that and make it look decent, considering that it is an ecommerce site, and it looks alot better with just the products / specials on the homepage, rather than text.

    META TAG:-
    meta tag is a special HTML tag that provite informetionabout a webpage unlike normal html tag.
    a meta tag describing the content of the web page.

    There are major Meta tags you can use:-

    <HEAD>

    <TITLE> dhiruseo </TITLE>

    <META name=”description” content= “your web site description” />

    <META name=”keyword” content= “your website keyword” />

    <META name=”robots” content= “page” />

    <META http-equie =” content-type “content=” />

    </HEAD>
