SEO Guidance - Website Feedback

Hi Everyone

I am looking for some feedback on my website, and also some feedback to see what people would recommend to do for SEO.

I launched a print website in August 2008, its a brand new website. I have learnt quite a bit about SEO, and know quite a bit, but always looking for people who know more than me to help

the website is brand new, ive installed SEO friendly Urls, ive made unique page titles & meta tags on all pages, dynamic sitemap installed

my ideas are mainly forum posting & articles

I think before you do any link building you should check out the competition on the keywords you're targeting.

Use SEO for firefox to check out how many links your competitors have. If the first 3 sites for a given keyword have an average of over 4,000 links each, you might have trouble ranking with just forum and article submission.

Once you've found an uncompetitive keyphrase that fits with your website; send links to it and try to include your keyword/phrase in the link text, this by far is one of the best techniques for gaining a rank for a particular phrase, but make sure to use other variations and phrases too otherwise you WILL see a devaluing of links and a drop in rank.

If all your phrases are too competitive, well then you're just gonna have to learn some of the more advanced and productive link building methods

zinruss is right! He pointed out some very important factors that people take for granted.

Content is king as they say.try to stay ahead of your competitors, check for things they missed.

buddy for a new website the first thing to lay stress upon is the content

then you should move on to SEO of the website which would involve various techniques such as directory submissions,social bookmarking,article submissions,press release,you tube marketing and various other techniques
