Hey there, My client has a real estate website, and we are thinking about making a second one. On his first one, there are nearly 500,000 photos - nearly 10 GB. If we created a new website and used absolute paths to his old website for retrieving photos, would that effect us with SERPs? I am trying to get two virual directories setup for his new website so we do not have to have any references to his old website. I am waiting to hear what his hosting service will say. Thanks for any clarification on how external absolute image paths effect SERPs. I am hoping it wont Sincerely, Travis Walters
No there will be no problem here. It probably wont help either site rank any higher but it wont make you rank lower either Hope this helps
No it won't trigger dupe content because you are not moving it from the original host, I would make sure all the surrounding html and descriptions are different though, as well as ALT text. Consider your server bandwidth too.
be careful on what you are going to do. know the limitations and avoid using unethical strategies. In your case, be sure not to make almost the same site for it will be considered as duplicate.
