    Interestingly enough, simply by participating in such a contest, you can generate a lot of extra traffic to your website, so taking part is worthwhile even if you don't win the prize.

    And quadxnet, of course there is. SEO's giving backlinks? That is like gold dust, and if you can get 50-100 of them from highly optimised sites which rank highly themselfs, then you hit jackpot.

    However that fact does not devalue the contest.
