SEO from Local to National

    Hi all,

One site I built has very high rankings for targeted keywords in our local market in Minnesota. Searches for relevant services with location keywords like Minneapolis, Twin Cities or Minnesota give my site the top rankings. Now I am planning to take the SEO the national level. I hope that people in other major cities will be able to find this site when they use the service-related keywords plus their location keywords or without location keywords.

I'd love to hear your experience, suggestions or tips. As of now, I have our local city and state names integrated into the page titles and contents. Should I take these local keywords out or keep them while adding other city names? I do want to keep the local rankings at the top.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

    Terry

You could create a page for each city but its a bit risky as the search engines may think its spammy. You would need a lot of good content on each page.

Try to make a description of every city you add on a different page ;)
