Yeah, it is just the same take any url or www, but it depend on your personal preference or how the name sounds better to you. As said before, just choose of these forms to redirect the other.

The slash is added automatically by the browser, makes no diferrence if you add them to the urls or not.

It is your choice. So people like it without the www because it looks shorter, others like it with the www because it looks more professional. It is really up to you. Just don't do both.

I use www prefix. And you need not use a plugin to redirect all the requests, you can do it by .htaccess rule.

It's personal preference but if you don't choose to do it, it WILL NOT affect your rankings.

Now mind you that with the 'www.' it's more professional and generally correct, as websites are supposed to only work with the www. protocol (when browsers have requests with just http:// it's usually processed within its request automatically).

www. also looks better in search engine rankings, in my opinion- I always stick with www.

I am also confused about whether using www or without www.

It seems that we should use the url consistently

I just realized that I have been using both www and no www. I tried changing the htaccess file but screwed up my site, i changed it back to how it was but i still want to be able to make it no www. the htaccess file already has
in it. What should i change to make www redirect to no www? I also tried the plugin no www but it wont activate for some reason.

    thanks,

But mainly I seen blogs without www but the sites with www.

Many times I seen that I upload my websites with www but when they got cached, their caching url is without www. Which I think is not good for SEO purpose.
    Right???

This thread confuses me. So, the www prefix does affect the SEO of a site?

I have got my blog without www. But then i changed to www.

In my opinion, this should be decided right when you start a blog, and before building links. Else when you change the prefix, you would loose those backlinks.

When i changed mine to www. i lost traffics alot, and it needs time to reindex my site again.
