Hi mods: plz move my thread if this isn't appropriate for this forum, thanks in advance members: I'm building a website from scratch and among bunch of other things I remember it was very recommended that I build few of basic pages as well, such as for example contact us, privacy and perhaps few others... I wanted to know what is the list to be exactly?
well, from a strictly SEO perspective, i am not sure if having those pages will help or not, my guess is that having an About US, Contact us and Privacy page makes your website look more legit and professional, so it may help to a certain extent (not sure how much), what i know for sure is that if you display your ADDRESS in the contact-us page or in the footer , google takes it into consideration and will give you extra points when someone type your targeted keywords from your "state", city or country.
Hi Alexus, This may be more information then you’re looking for, but you can find some Google’s recommendations on how to do Google SEO for your site. It’s a pretty long document (22 pages) but it tells you everything that you need to know about SEO. The first thing you need to figure out is (a) what are people looking for. After you’ve got this figured out, then it’s time to write lots of articles, and post them all to your website. After you’ve got 10-15 pages, then it’s time to get back-links. The easiest ways are - to write and submit press releases - post your (modified articles to blog and article submission sites). Make sure you link to yourself. Once you’re got everything in the PDF completed, then it becomes a matter of writing more content, and getting more back-links. If you get tired, you can always get someone like (Bergstrom-seo Inc.) to help. Wish you all the best!
