I know this is a loaded question so I'll put some stipulations on it. It cannot be OSCommerce, we are moving them from that. It cannot be Open Source, which OSC is. Our client needs full support which open source software doesn't have. We would like to have the shopping cart company also host the site so everything is in one place under one company. The client has 130Gigs of bandwidth per month. Yes, you read that correctly. They will need a dedicated server and a good seo cart to run it on. Any suggestions?
I've seen them before, they certainly have the bandwidth. I'm worried about their small size (employees). I'm calling them.
Hey folks, Have you tried Magento cart? It's best SEO friendly shopping cart among all. It's SEO friendly coding helps your custom Magento website to gain high rankings in SEs. It also gives you Auto generated Google Sitemap, Meta for your products and category pages and much more…
Yeah I agree with Dhvanesh - Magento is pretty slick. That's what I would recommend too. I think they provide an option to import OS Commerce data as well. -- Second to Magento is Miva, which is super powerful & SE friendly. It's a cool system, check out all the people using it: http://www.mivamerchant.com/galleria/archive.mv?featureOnly=yes
Most of decent carts today are optimized for search engines. Overall, you should simply look for clean HTML/CSS code, customizable product and category URLs, TITLE and META tags, site map generation.
url should be having facility of url rewrite so instead of dynamic url, seo person can put product friendly seo url
My best opinion is you can go for zeuscart which is a seo friendly shopping cart with advanced features and it is a open source and it is developed in php.
