SEO Friendly Links for PHPbb?

Is there a way to get SEO friendly links like vBulletin but for PHPbb?

I would like it www.mysitesname.com/the-thread-name.html or something similar just like what Vbseo does but for PhPbb.

Does anyone know of something free like this and if not anything cheap?

I have used a hack called Able to know to make all the SEO changes in my phpBB. It rewrote the urls and also made some more changes to make it more seo friendly

If you upgrade to phpbb3, I think there's an option for 2 types of links for pages - standard or short.

I can highly recommend able2know I have used it in the past and it works a treat for both the friendly urls and the page titles.

    Thanks
