    Hello,

I'm looking for an SEO friendly forum script.

    Any advice?

Sorry if my post is too vague, but I'm not sure what other details I need to say.

    Brandon

i would also recommend Vbulletin, however phpbb (seo wise) is also good if you spend the few minutes needed to mod it, but i would definatly recommend getting vbulletin if you have the money available.

Minstrel what is the problem about SEO-Board? We installed it a while ago, made a skin and optimized the code (for markup and accessibility) here: http://forums.webnauts.net, but we are not so sure if we will keep it. Can you tell what is wrong about it to your opinion? Would be very thankful.

If not keep it, we will definetely go for XMB: http://www.xmbforum.com/
    Cleanest markup and excellent usability!!!

I like it fine and no, I don't use HTML rewrite.

Webnauts, you'll find that Shawn and most of the others here are fans of vBulletin. I was making a joke about mentioning other software in "vBulletin country"...

Haven't used it (as an admin) personally but have seen it in action and was pretty impressed.

If you have the $ vBulletin is your best bet.

I'm with you on that. If I was poor and just starting out I would use SMF until I had enough $$$ for an upgrade to vBulletin.

Exactly - At this point, im too knowlegable about vBulletin to switch to something else just to save $160 - Not worth it whatsoever.

Plus, you can actually MAKE money by running vBulletin. I've collected $314.22 in affiliate commissions so far this year from the clickable footer link. ;)

To be honest i just disable sessions on phpbb and install a google sitemap mod. It works a treat. You could also set up some kind of url rewrite mod with keywords in url. Best thing its free!

Well after all, because of the too less functions of the SEO-Board, and all your comments above, I decided to use another board called XMB. And I am so far, really impressed!

It is temporally here http://www.webnauts.net/xmb/, but it will be moved soon here: http://forums.webnauts.net/

What do you think about that one?
