SEO Friendly Directory? -- Means this particular directory gives direct link to your site and does not use redirects, jump links, or no follow tags. When I look at the directory, I make sure each page has different Title and Meta Description.
I think mine qualifies as SEO friendly, thanks. I also have different title and META descriptions for each page in the directory and all of the articles also. All I need now is Google to index my pages and articles.
That answer had a lot of great stuff in it, I was pleased to note that my directory follows good SEO friendly rules. I think that if a website or directory is making a false offer then it isn't going to last very long. I'm in it for the long haul, creating my websites didn't cost much money and I am learning alot and having fun. Not really making any money though . I was hoping to make a bit of passive income, but there is nothing passive about it. It is still fun anyway.
I also check the meta keywords (via view page source) of the category pages. Found one today started by a newbie (yep - I'm one to talk ) that had the same long string of keywords for every page and category of the directory that had nothing at all to do (relevance) with even being a directory nor any relevance whatsoever to the category or topic of the pages.
