    Do one thing go to the google and search following terms.
    top directory submission website
    top 100 directory submission website
    best directory submission website
    dofollow directory submission website
    instant approval directory submission websites

    you will get lots of lists and website. Also use word site and list instead of website in above queries.

    Search for good directories by yourself do not trust anyone on forums ;

    To understand the quality of a directory look for its
    1. pr
    2.indexed pages in google
    3.quality of links in directory
    4. search for their site title are they on top
    5 is it active; look for latest links cache

    Directories aren't good for link building, it's outdated. Forum posting, blog commenting, and article submission are the ways to go. Link exchanges also work well.

    I agree. I get most of the free directories from that site. The good thing bout directorycritic is that you can sort it by pagerank, name, and date when the directory was submitted. In that way, it would be easier for you to gather your resources ;)
