dax has a cool subdomain plugin if your host supports that. wordpress is pretty good out of the box for seo.
Yes, it's pretty good.Infact you can make your urls seo friendly in Wordpress admincp You need mod_rewrite support though Saad
i cant post live urls but there is an seo addon to redo your titles to make them seo friendly, search for "wordpress titles seo plugin" in google
Heres the live link http://www.netconcepts.com/seo-title-tag-plugin/ Thanks Kelvin i will be installing it on my blog aswell later
To maximize on SEO for WordPress, you will need to work on your templates. For example, the default title for the single post is [Blog Title]>>[PostTitle], you might want to change it to [Post Title] >> [Blog Title]. Also check out the custom fields to add your own meta tags.
Meta tags for keywords or description? I stop using keywords long ago and focus more on meta description.
yeah, I wouldn't really bother with the keywords tag, I don't know of a single SE that still looks at that
I'm not sure about a plugin, I just modify my template, here's how: http://www.justin-cook.com/wp/2006/04/07/hacking-wordpress-to-be-more-seo-friendly/
cheers man, applying that seems to extract the html from the blog post as well, which isn't the best implementation. I found this plugin, http://guff.szub.net/2005/09/01/head-meta-description/ which works great
in my opinion the best title of single post pages the post title alone. the more keywords you have on the title the smaller the value that will be attributed to each of them from search engines. Also it is probable the that the blog title will not match the keywords found on every single post, hence why I would leave it out.
I compile this a while back. It's long but better. Link: http://zeo.unic.net.my/notes/better-title-for-your-wordpress/
