    Wow lots of good information.

Wordpress really seems to be catching on in a big way, and allows even persons like me that are somewhat afraid to dig into code, the ability to host their own site.

It's one of the few plugins I recommend for WordPress and SEO. The others can be found in the "WordPress SEO Checklist" thread (which goes to SitePoint) in my forum signature.

Very nice article i have just installed the category base killer..
    Just a couple of questions..
My host won't allow mod_rewrite therefore i have had to enable pathinfo "Almost Pretty" permalinks whereby the url is in the form mysite.com/index.php/categoryname/postname/ basically does the same as mod_rewrite but has to have /index.php/ before it. Can you forsee any problems with this, the W3 validator doesn't seem to be able to validate my pages any more it appears with error 302 :s ?

Second question is for you Dan :) When you say
i'm not to sure about what XHTML or semantic means :s, could you explain to me what you actually do in this process and why?

It means I use the proper HTML elements for the purposes they were meant for. Headings for headings, lists for lists, paragraphs for paragraphs, tables for data, stuff like that. I also use as little of it as possible.

If you want to see an actual working example, you'll have to wait for me to release the framework to the public. :)
