SEO for video content

    Hello, just wondering can anyone offer some advice, I am in the process of updating my site, and would like to add videos to it.
    video player for the videos which could build a sitemap for the videos
    if without sitemap a third party sitemap generator
    best practices for adding video content to a site and possible SEO procedure

    Do you plan on using YouTube to host the videos?
    Or are they short clips?

    no the little bit I have read so far recommend hosting on my own domain, I will have videos on youtube but linking back to my site

    because some video site like youtube, vimeo or dailymotion has high pagerank, so they support your site up top google faster
