Just curious.. but alot of people say viagra is one of the hardest niche's to rank high in the SERP's so if you are a freelance SEO or an SEO company.. could you estimate how much you'd charge a client for getting top ten for viagra related phrases..?

    Cheers..:)

I would charge the price of what it costs for 5 blue pills-the cost of the closest competitor....and don't take the blue pills with your iron pill...you might point north for a while....lol.

Actually, I would probably charge the same rate as I do all my other customers, which is xx$/hour based on how high up they want to be.

I've heard that a top 1-3 ranking in Google results in about $10k a day in revenue. Based on that, I'd probably do revenue share for getting top rankings for that term.

Its actually isn't that hard to rank a page (that isn't yours) in the top 10, as long as you have the database of sites to get links from. Some of those spammer guys have HUGE databases of places to grab links that they've been storing for years and years. Kinda hard to compete with them unless you have something comparable.

I wonder how magicbluepill.com did it, they rank 3rd in google and the site's really not very impressive. They do have a ton of link partners, could this really be why?

Having a "great" site is not complementary with having great rankings

    Backlinks count the most

Yes backlinks are what counts. The point I'm trying to make is that I really don't think that site picked up a bunch of links naturally. Do you think it's there links pages or some other method of gaining inbound links?

i believe you have to start xxxx$/month because most of the sites will consider viagra sites as bad neighbours. :)

I've heard that a lot of the viagra sites arround are owned by the same company. This company has a very large database of link partners making SEO considerations very easy. Surely this method does sound like a link farm, but google hasn't caught up to them yet. When you make as much $$$ as they do, you can afford having thousands of sites, just for SEO purposes. I do not take myself to be an SEO expert, but I think anyone who takes on a task such as this must be a true and experienced SEO expert. Good luck!

Do you really think any of the sites selling viagra online are getting natural backlinks?

This is very possible. I happened to find out a case that a free web hosting company controls all the hidden backlinks for those who use their services.

They offer free hosting for bloggers as well. They offer an SEO service in another domain, which is ranked very high. Individual SEO marketers can not compete with big companies like that. It's not even a matter of money in some cases. You will have to own several thousands of domains even.

Top 10 for Viagra? i wont accept projects like that, i dont wanna compete against every spammer on syndk8, did you look at the top ten? exept viagra.com, almost all the top 10 are .edu hacked or spammed Domains, and the rest are black hat websites too, the top 10 is changing almost everyday because of google banning blackhat websites.

that theory that if an seo can get a viagra keyword into the top 1 - 3 would have done it for themselves allready is simply not true. Just because someone is an seo expert doesnt mean that they are a business expert, plus isnt it legally ricky to have a viagra site????????
Plus i think my seo can this and hes white hat all the way but we are now engaging in a huge seo project so it makes no chance to take a risk on having a potentially illegal pharma site unless someone can prove to me that we wont get into legal problems having a site like that.

For anyone who was serious about selling viagra and other pharma online, legalities are not an issue.

Anyone can create a business entity in another (pharma friendly country) place a site on servers in another country, have all payments sent to a bank account in another country, etc. without ever setting foot in that country.

Besides, its mostly Europeans that are buying the Viagra online, not Americans.

Oh, and good luck trying to compete using white hat methods. ha!

Sorry matey, but you're pulling our legs. If you could push site into top-10 for viagra for $xxx/month, you'd be a multi-millionaire already.

More conservative cost is high $xxx$xxxxx/month, but I'd still not recommend guaranteeing top-10 placement for viagra. More like $xx or $xxx/hour until it comes into top-10... perhaps it never will.

Apart from viagra.com (which is ranking poorly btw), no viagra site gain links naturally. It is all either bought high-power links, or low-level links (wikis, forums, SBs) spammed using very high-output spambots.
Too true man, too true. I know several syndk8 members personally, and I wouldn't advise competing against the competent blackhat.

    White hat for viagra. Lol.

LOL you definately got the "Hardest" niches bit right....lol excuse the pun. but yeah there are so many spam sources trying to sell this kind of thing, so email marketing and newsletters definately isnt the way to go, because people automatically assume its spam, so just a bit of hard work trying to do link exchanges etc will help.

Yeah for sure :) I've got my clients site ranking in the 50's for it's main keyword after three months, and about ten other keywords in the 50's-200's. And that's with no blackhat :)

And you are right, alot of people socialize viagra sites with SPAM and alot of people don't actually believe the people when they say there site is clean  That's mainly because of generalisation :(
