    Hi,

Just wanted to start a discussion here on the best format for retail sites and their product pages.

Most sites I see have the product url in the root directory. like: www.mysite.com/ipod-nano.html. Are there any other suggestions on where to put products, like in the category they are in, (example mysite.com/mp3-players/ipod-nano.html

The reason I wanted to know, was that for my analytics I just wanted to track hits to the product page within a funnel process. So I was thinking of setting up my URLS to be mysite.com/product/ipod-nano.html.

Do you think there will be any affect from that change?

Having this is pretty good I think:

    site.com/category/product.html

Usually category is very relevant to product.

    DVDplayers/sony/rv100.html
    or
    Coffee/nescafe/100grams.html
