SEO for realestatewebsites.com

I posted something similar to this in the "Google" forum, but it definitely fits here as well.
About 12 weeks ago I launched realestatewebsites.com and we're trying very hard to rank for the keywords "Real Estate Websites" (very difficult to rank for). In the first week we were on page 7 which was awesome, but now if you search those keywords we're on page 26. I have some theories on to why this happened (the launch of a forum, and a magento store). I just can't believe that expanding the site would cause such a sudden drop.

Were the initial results false? or am I just doing something horribly wrong to cause this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you delete or change some pages they affect the website seo.
It may be better or may be worse.

I didn't delete or really change the pages. I did add the store, and the forum, but we were hanging steady on like page 9 for a month with the store and forum already in place. Then all of the sudden in the past 10-12 days we've taken a sudden dive.

    Hey bro

I am thinking to get the packages from seobd.net

You should try. I saw they have a web scan package at a very low cost. Hope you can get your reason for lagging.

I am going to order one.

    I appreciate the recommendation neelshopno123.
I have no problem doing the necessary work myself, I'm just looking for some helpful tips to stabilize my page rank and possibly increase it. I understand that "Real Estate Websites" are keywords that are extremely hard to key in on. So my thought is to start trying to rank for other keywords like "Agent Websites", "Broker Websites" and stuff like that. I have those pages already up, but any advice to improve would be appreciated.

Well Seo is something when you stop working you will see a sudden drop mostly when the keyword is very competitive people use seo companies not because they don't know what the work is but to make sure that there is some one professional sitting behind working 8-9 hours only to make your site get high traffic and maintain you rankings in top search engines.

cpredsox, it is quite normal for a new web site to rank well initially and then drop considerably.

Think of it like this... Google has hundreds of ranking factors, when they first indexed your web site the only things they know about your site is the content, the age of the domain, the internal link structure, a sitemap possibly or maybe a link or two from external sources. So what they do is rank you based on the information that they have available. As they learn more about your web site, they gather more data and more ranking factors for your specific web site, they adjust the ranking based on the new factors.

So lets say they think your content is fantastic and they give you a page 7 ranking, but then after a couple of weeks they notice that you only have 2 backlinks and they haven`t increased, so they lower your ranking, then they find out that the speed of your site is very poor, so they lower it a bit more.

Obviously thats quite a simplistic example, but when you think that they look at over 200 ranking factors, it's not possible that they know about them all instantly when they first index your site, so they factor them in over time.

Thank you Martin, that was a good explanation.
Is it possible that the site will now begin to climb back up gradually? I have been back linking to the site quite a bit, but I don't think it's enough. I plan to start a blog as well to try and keep content up to date and original, but is that enough? I'm just not quite sure what else to do.
