SEO for new bloggers

Most new bloggers refuse to understand how easy it is to do proper SEO for their sites. Trust me, its really this simple !

Heres my simple no frills guide to getting loads of traffic from search engines.

1.Use wordpress. (LOL)

2.Change the permalinks structure to include the post name.

3.Add sitemap.

3.Use ‘All in one SEO pack’ and ‘Google XML sitemaps’ [plugins]

4.Use proper keywords in the title of the post.

5.Check the slug / permalink structure before publishing a post.

Its really good information reg the SEO for the web pages. Its really helps for getting good traffic for our sites by keeping our links in the newly created bloger pages. Thanks for the post. Its really very informative..

 

I believe using wordpress and blogspot won't make any difference untill and unless if you are good at seo. If the SEO has done on right directions any blogger can be a succsessfull

 

Interesting... I would add, submit your rss feeds to a few rss sites also ;-) - and have a decent 'ping list' in wordpress's admin section ;-)

a person is far better to use wordpress as a CMS rather than a blogging solution, if you intend to use WP as a blogging solutioin, you need a plan and know what you are going to blog about. a plan to know which sites you want back links from, a plan to know which keywords you are going to target...

too many people go into blogging without a plan and this is one of the key reasons they find it hard to get traffic

 

Why use wordpress? Based on my experience, it is much easier to rank on blogspot blogs compare to others. That's the reason why I really like that blogging platform.

@JessieJames27 I dont have much experience with blogger. but with what i know, wordpress on your own host allows lot many modifications which blogger doesnt.

@dickieknee exactly. every blogger should have a specific plan, one needs to make out what he expects from his blog and then go about achieving that. non specific posts doesnt help.

@matt-dean yeah .. you are right . some nice RSS sites would make it better.

 

6. amend the html from rel="nofollow" to follow

 

plugin - aLinks is good.

Make internal link.

This is just a little information on how to SEO a Wordpress blog.....

where is the proper structure for the Permalinks tag??

If you are going to write something... try to make it informative and original.....

This is 'SEO for new bloggers'. I certainly think its informative for new bloggers. It could have been a bit more detailed , but i think its pretty simple the way it is now.

 

you can use blog.co.uk as well as wordpress
co.uk is also good one as i know

my opinion is: wordpress is much better than blogspot just because of the addons that can be added and extend the wordpress to almost anything.
comparing those two, "out of the box" i vote for blogspot!
