SEO for my Blog

    Hi!

    I'm looking to improve my Wordpress blog for SEO, but I have to say, that I don't really know where to start. Could anyone give me some advice what to look for when your optimizing your blog?

    Here is the link I found pretty useful. Though it focuses on Blogger blogs, I think its tips can be used on any blog.

    If you want to SEO a wordpress blog, you can use a special plug-ins. Couple of the posts here mention them, so you might wanna take a look at them.

    Wordpress comes out of the box as "search engine friendly".

    -Go to Options> Permalinks and change them so you have search engine friendly URL's

    - Install All-In-One-SEO Plugin

    these two in itself will do wonders

    Changing the permalink structure to include the category and/or the post titles adds more keywords to the URL. However it can make the URL quite long if you choose more than one category and have long post titles.

    To reduce the URL length only post into one category (or don't use categories in the permalink structure) and for the titles use a shorter post slug in the post slug box.
