    Hello,
I would like you to please guide me about SEO for http://workers-place.blogspot.com

I am targetting two main keyowords "making money online" and "home internet based business opportunity" (second keyword)

I have made the title and description keeping in mind the second keyowrds and I noticed that while writing posts I target the first keyword.

What you would suggest me to do as making money online is alot of competition and the other keyword is also a tough competition I think. What should I do?

As I have written some posts so should I change the target keywords still, what should be the approach.

    Thanks A Billion! :)

You've done a good job with the keywords.

But you've just 2 backlinks from MSN. You should get some more! You should not so focus more on your keywords than your site network,

Also using blogspot, i think is good for the google algorithm ( since its from the google family ), but you use free services, and people are not so keen on linking to sites that use free hosting if you see what i mean,

You should buy a domain name and a hosting and upload your blogger on your server than using the .blogspot.com service :p,

Thanks guys for your tips and I will be moving that to paid hosting but these days pocket is empty :)

But I would like to know how can I do more link exchanges and with whom I should do.

I have found some people not really related to my niche although having a 4 PR and already did link exchanges with quite some thousands so could you please help me in that case.

And again which anchor text and other sutff I should choose for link exchanges as well as directory submission.

    Thanks Again.

You should really investigate the best keywords you should be targeting and use them in your directory submissions. When you do submit for a back link try changing the site title to other keywords you want to target.

Only link out to blogs or sites that are related to your topic, keep it simple.

Another thing that I do is keep a record of the posts in a spreadsheet so in the future if I make reference to something I posted before I can link back to the previous post. The info I record is date of post, title and url - it comes in really useful when you have a high number of posts.

Like the others said I would move over to a host and use word press.

If your content is well written along with your post titles the search engines should bring in good traffic and if your content is interesting your visitors should come back, hopefully a couple of times a week.

Also join up with Technorati and other blog directories along with aggregators.

You should also think of blogging as being social, go onto other Blogs related to your topic and get involved with the discussions on the posts. Usually when you become known to the other bloggers they will start reading your blog and if they find it interesting they will link back to you.

Dont be afraid to link out to other blogs that are on your topic. Most serious bloggers will see that you are linking to them and will link back also. There are blogs out there that will automatically show who is linking to them, which is the easiest way to get another backlink from a blogger.

What if you leave comments on other blogs non topic related to your own, can this hurt?

I don't think it will hurt, as you are just commenting and most probably he is also going to comment on your blog and there is no as such problem according to me.

Thanks for more guide, I am already with technorati

    What do you say turnsniffer?

It wont hurt to leave comments on non-related blogs but its not going to help either. Another thing to consider is most blogs use the no-follow rule on links so its not really going to help you SEO wise, its more of the social traffic aspect you are aiming for here.

Think of blog comments in the same way as a forum, repond to posts that you have knowledge on and is related to your site.

If a blog is about politics what topic do you think this blogger is interested in? You can be sure that this person spends a specific amount of time each day reading & posting on other political blogs, the trick here is to get that blogger checking you out everytime it comes to his/her daily reading.

What is the topic of your blogs anyway?

Another good traffic drive is forums but again use a forum related to your topic to really drive traffic.

I am sorry for late reply, havn't seen that you have posted .

My blog niche is Making Money Online

I think digitalpoint is related to my niche.

Thanks for help and am looking for more, did some link exchanges but I really need traffic, directory submission can help? I think it will increase PR and then I can sell links on site or something like that and then can invest on adwords.

    I am online right now.

Yes digital point would be related content and I see you have your blog link into your profile, that should help.

I would advise in submitting to directories, those who allow blogspot blogs anyway. Its probably best you dont go on a submission spree but rather do it at a steady pace for example, I take one night a week and spend it submitting to 20 or so directories. Not all directories will accept a submission or even make a difference to your backlinks so its always important to keep at it.

I see you have been making regular posts which is good. The more posts you make the more chance you will get traffic coming from the search engines. You only need to make one post a day with good content, just keep at it and the traffic will come.

Its always difficult starting a blog because you start thinking nobody is reading and your wasting time. Sometimes blogs can take months to really kick off.

Yeah I have just added my blog in my sig and in my profile.

Is there any issue that all those directories accepting site will not accept blogger blogs, I am not sure but if that is so than It will be a great problem.

You are right, feels the same that you are wasting time but I can understand that it takes time and I am willing to do it.

All I am afraid of is so much efforts with a blogger blog but that's the current and only solution for me.

Even blogger is blocked in our country and I am operating from proxy pkblogs.com so that's hurdle but I think one day I will make it.

    Thanks for help.

To be honest I have no idea why different directories dont accept blogger blogs but I have seen it mentioned on here a few times. I guess its just down to the directory owners preference.

I understand that Blogger is your only option for now, we all have to start somewhere. The good thing about Blogger is you can export your full blog to Wordpress when you are ready to make that jump which should make as a main goal.

Great ---- I was not knowing that I can export my full blog to wordpress.

But it will effect traffic or I think PR will be zero again on that word press blog with a new url.

    I hope I am not correct :)

Great, so I can export the full blog to wordpress once I get my domain and hosting and setup everything.

It will effect PR? and traffic? since the domain will agian be new.

    I hope I am not right :)

Yes but I havent done it myself so I am not sure how easy it actually is. Read import blogger posts from someone who did do it.

Yes you would loose your PR because your changing domains from the blogspot name. Now loosing the traffic would be a tricky one and its something you would need to gamble. I would guess that after exporting the blog you would leave one post with a statement "we have now moved to blah blah" and have a link going to your new site - I have never done it before so thats a guess.

I would do wordpress. Very nice easy backend. Controlable for seo efforts.

Putting it on your own domain gives you a lot more control and thats what its all about with SEO and web design.
