hello guys, I bought a ONE WORD 6 letter EDM Domain a few months ago after the Google Panda and Penguin penalty. Its a keyword domain. I haven't launch my website yet, I am scared to do any SEO. I am a wordpress developer, I am planning to send FREE WordPress themes on Wordpress.org official website as a part of my marketing campaigns. Now my question is, IS IT SAFE to use my domain's full url domain.com as its own link anchor name?

Yes you should avoid over optimization of your website to be ranked higher in search engines. But Using of your main keyword as an anchor text every time can invite difficulties for you, I suggest you to create back-links by following various methods and techniques. You can be penalized by Google if you are creating back-links on anchor text. If you are generating back-links by targeting only one or two activities, then Google may penalize you, but if you're generating back-links by using various techniques/activities, then Google may not penalize you.
